Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will play a vital role in leveraging AI technologies to enhance banking services and customer experiences. You will work within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team, contributing to the development of innovative AI-powered products and solutions that drive value for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Introduce LLM optimization techniques for large-scale production AI systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.).
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
  • Strong foundation in engineering, mathematics, and optimization techniques.
