Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will work within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team to create responsible AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. You will collaborate with a diverse team to develop innovative AI-powered solutions while leveraging a range of advanced technologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Utilize Open Source and SaaS AI technologies like AWS Ultraclusters and PyTorch
  • Introduce optimization techniques to improve AI system performance
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
  • Expertise in developing and applying AI optimization techniques
  • Strong communication skills to articulate complex AI concepts
