Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced AI systems that enhance banking experiences for customers and associates. You will collaborate with a diverse team to design and implement AI-powered products, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to drive scalable and responsible AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies for model training and inference.
  • Invent optimization techniques to improve AI system performance.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with AI technologies like LLM Inference, Similarity Search, VectorDBs, and Guardrails.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
