Overview

The Senior Lead AI Engineer for the Gen AI Platform at Capital One will play a critical role in building responsible and scalable AI systems that enhance how customers interact with banking services. This position involves collaboration with a diverse team to develop AI-powered products while leveraging advanced AI technologies to improve product experiences and AI infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies for AI solutions
  • Introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap for foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • 6+ years of experience in AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • 6+ years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience in deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating complex AI concepts
