Overview

Capital One is seeking a Senior Lead AI Engineer for their Gen AI Platform to help create responsible AI systems that transform banking. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to develop AI-powered products, focusing on a variety of AI technologies and optimization techniques to enhance banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies to improve AI system performance.
  • Invent LLM optimization techniques for large scale production AI systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Experience designing and supporting complex AI systems.
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics.
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
