Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying AI software components, including large language model inference and optimization techniques. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to bring innovative AI-powered solutions to life and drive the company's vision of transforming the banking experience through AI and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
  • Invent and optimize LLM techniques for performance and scalability
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • At least 6 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
  • Experience with Open Source AI technologies like AWS, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch
