Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will play a pivotal role in developing responsible and reliable AI systems that aim to transform banking for good. You will work within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team to design and deliver AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage various AI technologies including AWS Ultraclusters and PyTorch.
  • Invent LLM optimization techniques to enhance performance of AI systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms.
  • 6+ years programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating complex AI concepts.
