Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be instrumental in developing responsible AI systems that enhance banking experiences. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, test, and implement advanced AI solutions that deliver value to customers while ensuring high performance and scalability.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including model training and evaluation.
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters and PyTorch.
  • Invent and optimize techniques for large-scale production AI systems to improve performance.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with at least 6 years of AI/ML expe
  • 6 years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
  • Expertise in developing AI/ML algorithms including LLM Inference and Similarity Search using various programming languag
