Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will play a key role in developing responsible and reliable AI systems that transform the banking experience. Working within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team, you'll collaborate with engineers and product managers to build and deploy AI-powered solutions that enhance customer interactions and improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage a wide range of AI technologies and tools
  • Invent and implement optimization techniques for large scale AI systems
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap for foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in developing AI and ML solutions
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
  • Strong background in AI technologies including LLM Inference and Similarity Search
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
