Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a Senior Implant Equipment Engineer in Idaho City, Idaho. This role will focus on improving manufacturing processes related to DIFI equipment, which is critical for producing high-quality semiconductor components. The engineer will collaborate with multi-functional teams and equipment vendors to address equipment issues and enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Own dry etch module development for advanced logic nodes, defining metric targets and process specifications.
  • Drive yield and defect improvement through monitoring and structured root cause analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional process change reviews and risk assessments for new processes.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors to optimize tools and develop etch recipes.
  • Improve cycle time and yield learning by leveraging inline metrology approaches.

Required skills

  • 2 years of industry experience as Equipment Owner with Implant
  • BS or Masters in Engineering or equivalent military experience
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and team collaboration
  • Proficient in data science and programming
