Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Implant Equipment Engineer at Micron in Boise, Idaho, you will be integral in enhancing manufacturing processes, particularly focusing on the installation, maintenance, optimization, and development of DIFI equipment. Your expertise will help produce high-quality semiconductor components by addressing equipment issues and implementing solutions that improve efficiency and yield, all while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Own dry etch module development for advanced logic nodes.
  • Drive yield and defect improvement through SPC driven monitoring and structured root cause analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional process change reviews and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with major equipment vendors to optimize tools and develop etch recipes.
  • Improve cycle time and yield learning by leveraging alternative inline metrology approaches.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of experience as Equipment Owner with Implant
  • BS or Masters in Engineering or equivalent military experience
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Proficient in Data Science and Programming skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training
