Overview

Permanent Position Full-Time Remote Montreal We are currently partnering with a well-established Quebec-based organization in the financial services sector that is looking to add a Senior Functional Analyst to its growing IT team. In this role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, end users, and software development teams. You will analyze business requirements, document existing systems, and contribute to the modernization of critical business applications used across the organization. We are seeking a proactive and analytical professional who can understand both business objectives and the technical realities behind complex systems. Responsibilities Analyze and document business requirements and existing processes Create functional specifications, user stories, and supporting documentation Understand and map systems, data flows, integrations, and business processes Collaborate closely with developers, stakeholders, and end users Participate in system modernization and continuous improvement initiatives Act as a trusted resource to clarify requirements and support decision-making Profile 5+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role Experience working in a software development environment Strong understanding of databases, data flows, and system integrations Ability to analyze existing applications and document business logic and workflows Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset Nice-to-Have Qualifications Knowledge of PHP and SQL Experience working with legacy systems and modernization projects Experience in financial services, insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries Compensation & Benefits Permanent position Base Salary + Annual bonus 35-hour work week Primarily remote work (approximately one or two on-site team meeting per month) Vacation based on experience + personal days Comprehensive group insurance plan Employer-matched retirement savings plan (RRSP) And much more!
