Overview

Amarx Search, Inc. is seeking a Senior FPGA Electrical Engineer for a full-time position in Rochester, NY. This role focuses on developing and verifying FPGA/ASIC based embedded systems, particularly for tactical communication products, requiring strong experience in digital design and signal processing.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze system requirements and architect FPGA based processing solutions
  • Implement and verify complex algorithms in FPGAs and software
  • Develop self-checking test benches for FPGA design verification using System Verilog
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine design requirements
  • Prepare design and implementation reviews and present technical briefings

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in FPGA/ASIC development
  • Experience with VHDL and Verilog for FPGA/ASIC development
  • Experience with System Verilog for verification
  • Experience in Linux based development environments
  • Experience with FPGA Vendor Specific Implementation tools (Vivado/Quartus/Libero)
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Broad experience in embedded system design for communication systems
  • Experience in implementing complex modem and/or DSP circuits
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP) modelling tools like MatLab and Simulink
  • Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools such as SVN and GIT
