Overview

The Senior FPGA Electrical Engineer at Amarx Search, Inc. will work on developing and verifying FPGA/ASIC based embedded systems for a defense technology company. The role requires expertise in FPGA development and verification methodologies, with responsibilities focused on designing firmware for tactical communication products.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze system requirements and architect FPGA based processing solutions
  • Implement and verify complex algorithms in FPGAs and software
  • Develop test benches for FPGA design verification using System Verilog
  • Assist in creating high-level and detailed verification test plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine design requirements
  • Prepare design and implementation reviews
  • Present technical briefings and status updates to customers

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in FPGA/ASIC development and verification
  • Expertise in VHDL and Verilog for FPGA/ASIC development
  • Experience with System Verilog for verification
  • Familiarity with FPGA Vendor Specific Implementation tools (e.g., Vivado, Quartus, Libero)
  • Experience in a Linux based development environment
  • Ability to analyze system requirements
  • Experience with digital signal processing and complex modem designs
  • Knowledge of FPGA verification tools and methodologies
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
