Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst role at Berkeley Research Group in Boston involves providing strategic and financial advice primarily to private equity firms and clients in transition. This position focuses on executing consulting engagements while collaborating with teams on financial modeling, analysis, and client presentations.

Key responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities of Corporate Finance - Turnaround & Restructuring client service teams
  • Execute tasks including 13-week cash flow models, 3-statement models, and pro-forma scenario models
  • Prepare reports, written analyses, presentations, and client deliverables
  • Participate in marketing, client pitches, and product and practice development
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve engagement objectives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in consulting or professional services
  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis, particularly in Excel
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Familiarity with financial research tools like Capital IQ and Bloomberg
  • Willingness to travel as needed
