Job Description

Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst at Berkeley Research Group will provide strategic, operational, and financial advice to diverse clients, particularly in turnaround and restructuring scenarios. The role involves collaboration with management teams and stakeholders to maximize value and support the firm's corporate finance practice, which serves various industries.

Key responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities of BRG Corporate Finance client service teams
  • Execute tasks across consulting engagements, including modeling and client presentations
  • Utilize financial, accounting, and analytical skills to perform cash flow models and scenario analyses
  • Prepare reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables
  • Participate in the development of the consulting practice, including marketing and client pitches

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or rel
  • 3+ years of work experience in consulting or professional services
  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis, particularly in Excel
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Familiarity with financial research tools (e.g., Capital IQ, Bloomberg)
  • CFA, CPA, or equivalent accounting expertise is a plus
  • Willingness to travel as needed
