Job Description

Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst role at Berkeley Research Group, LLC focuses on providing financial and strategic consulting services to various clients including private equity firms and underperforming companies. As part of the Corporate Finance practice, the analyst will engage in diverse turnaround advisory assignments and support client service teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the activities of BRG Corporate Finance – Turnaround & Restructuring client service teams.
  • Execute multiple tasks across consulting engagements, including modeling and client presentations.
  • Utilize financial and analytical skills to create 13-week cash flow models and 3-statement models.
  • Prepare reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
  • Collaborate with experts, other professionals, and clients to achieve engagement objectives.
  • Assist in the development of the consulting practice, including marketing and client pitches.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, especially in Excel.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with financial research tools like Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
