Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Financial Analyst on Capital One's Retail Bank Finance Team, you will partner with business customers to drive strategic business direction and enhance the effectiveness of financial processes. Your role includes performing financial data analysis and contributing to financial reporting for informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and P&L management
  • Collaborate with system analysts to maintain and develop financial models
  • Collect and verify input data from various departments and summarize findings
  • Assist in developing presentations to communicate analysis results to senior leadership
  • Provide management with project statuses and perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis
  • At least 2 years of experience with financial modeling
  • MBA or Master's Degree in Finance (preferred)
  • CFA or CPA license (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
