Job Description

Overview

The Senior Financial Accountant at First National Bank Texas will be responsible for various financial reporting and accounting functions, including month-end closing processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role involves significant collaboration with staff accountants and oversight of departmental processes to enhance efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare FLASH reporting and oversee month-end closing
  • Prepare quarterly Call Reports
  • Create Consolidated and Combined working papers
  • Prepare journal entries and conduct data/statistical analysis
  • Review and sign-off on Staff Accountant journal entries and reconciliations
  • Configure, modify, test, and implement software workflows and procedures
  • Enforce Company and Departmental policies and procedures
  • Process and review entries related to FCIS, FNR, and FNR II
  • Prepare rebills for intercompany entries and assist with posting
  • Conduct analysis and research of individual accounts
  • Assist in annual external and regulatory audits
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline workflows
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Oversee Property renditions and Property taxes for multiple branches
  • Cross-train and assist staff accountants with daily work
  • Participate in webinars related to Banking and Accounting
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
