Job Description

Overview

The Senior Financial Accountant at First National Bank Texas will be responsible for overseeing month-end closing processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role involves data analysis, journal entry preparation, and workflow automation to enhance efficiency in financial operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare FLASH reporting and oversee month-end closing
  • Prepare quarterly Call Reports and financial reports
  • Prepare journal entries and data/statistical analysis
  • Review and sign-off on Staff Accountant journal entries and reconciliations
  • Configure, modify, test, and implement software workflows for compliance
  • Enforce Company and Departmental policies and procedures
  • Process and/or review entries related to FCIS, FNR, and FNR II
  • Prepare rebills for intercompany entries
  • Assist in annual external audits and regulatory audits
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline workflows
  • Oversee Property renditions and Property taxes for 300+ branches
  • Provide cross-training to staff accountants
  • Participate in webinars related to Banking, Accounting, and regulatory reporting
