Overview

The Geller Law Group is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney for their Fairfax, Virginia office. This full-time, hybrid role requires a Virginia law license and provides the opportunity to manage cases, conduct client consultations, and supervise junior staff while delivering exemplary legal services in family law.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage an independent caseload from inception to completion
  • Handle family law litigation including divorce, custody, and child support matters
  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients
  • Supervise junior associates and paralegals
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, depositions, and briefs
  • Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills
  • Engage collaboratively with team members

Required skills

  • 6+ years of family law experience
  • Virginia law license required; DC and/or Maryland license preferred
  • Proven first-chair trial expertise
  • Command of the courts of Northern Virginia
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with remote working technologies
