Overview

H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator/Project Manager for the Maryland Division/HTI to oversee public and private projects. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to meet time and funding goals, requiring strong problem-solving skills and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Solicit and maintain positive relationships with clients
  • Analyze plans and specifications to determine project details
  • Prepare and submit quality estimates on time
  • Solicit bids and negotiate contracts with subcontractors
  • Prepare 'New Job Folder Set Up' information
  • Evaluate and prepare pricing for change orders
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel

Required skills

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Five years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction
  • Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and specialized project software
  • Ability to utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • Capability to meet physical movement and lifting requirements
