Join us, and let's make a difference together.Compensation:$65,000 - $70,000 base salary plus quarterly incentive compensationResponsibilities:Document DraftingDraft and prepare complex estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives under attorney supervisionPrepare amendments, restatements, and ancillary documents with accuracy and consistencyReview and quality-check draft documents before attorney review to ensure completeness and compliance with North Carolina lawTrust FundingFacilitate the transfer of assets into trusts, including real property, financial accounts, and other holdingsCoordinate with financial institutions, title companies, and other third parties to complete fundingUpdate beneficiary designations and verify that funding is completed accurately and in a timely mannerTrack and document trust funding status across all active client mattersClient & Case ManagementCommunicate with clients professionally and compassionately, scheduling meetings and providing updates on matter progressPrepare and organize client documents in advance of estate planning meetingsMonitor case deadlines, task due dates, and important time frames to keep matters on trackMaintain accurate and up-to-date client files, digital records, and physical filing in the firm's case management systemEnter billable and non-billable time accurately and promptlyTeam CollaborationCollaborate with attorneys and fellow paralegals to ensure efficient workflow and outstanding client serviceParticipate in weekly team case status meetings and monthly case update reviewsWhat Success Looks Like in This RoleDocuments are drafted accurately, completely, and on time - with minimal attorney revisions requiredTrusts are funded correctly and efficiently, with no loose ends left untrackedClients feel informed, cared for, and confident throughout the estate planning processAttorneys trust you to run with a matter and know it will be handled with expertise and integrityFiles and records are always current, organized, and audit-readyQualifications:Experience in drafting and preparing complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorneyProven track record of ensuring document accuracy and compliance with North Carolina lawAbility to facilitate asset transfers into trusts, coordinating with financial institutions and third partiesStrong communication skills to professionally and compassionately interact with clients, providing updates and scheduling meetingsProficiency in maintaining accurate client files and digital records within a case management systemDemonstrated ability to monitor case deadlines and ensure timely task completionExperience in collaborating with attorneys and paralegals to enhance workflow and client service qualityAbout CompanyAt Carolina Estate Planning, we don't just practice law - we make people's lives better.
