Overview

Grimaldi Law Firm is seeking a Senior Estate Planning Attorney with at least 5 years of experience to join their growing team in Hollywood, Florida. This role involves providing specialized legal services in estate planning, probate law, and real estate law while fostering a compassionate client relationship. The firm emphasizes a work-life balance and offers a supportive environment for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients as the primary attorney on cases from initial handoff to file closure.
  • Supervise estate administration paralegal in preparing probate and estate administration petitions.
  • Assist fiduciaries with asset management, determining cash needs, estate debts, and distribution plans.
  • Advise clients on estate planning, retirement plans, charitable giving, and insurance.
  • Draft wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Monitor caseload and ensure cases progress through defined milestones.
  • Collaborate with team members to efficiently move cases through the estate administration process.
  • Develop and maintain systems for effective legal practice management.
  • Network and develop relationships within the community.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in estate planning, including for taxable estates.
  • Strong communication skills, especially in stressful situations.
  • Ability to supervise and lead paralegals and legal staff.
  • Familiarity with estate planning documents and concepts like GRATs, ILITs, and SLATs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic technology; experience with Clio and Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships effectively.
