Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Environmental Analyst at PacifiCorp, you will lead wildlife and environmental compliance efforts for electric utility infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to a range of federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote environmental sustainability and compliance across various projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide environmental support for the company's avian program.
  • Monitor avian data collection and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Assist with retrofitting jobs to prevent avian electrocutions and collisions.
  • Conduct training and provide technical support related to avian protection.
  • Track avian retrofit job costs and ensure projects are completed on budget.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the monarch butterfly CCAA and reporting.
  • Serve as a liaison for avian issues within different business units.
  • Monitor environmental performance and coordinate with external agencies.
  • Oversee work of external environmental consultants.
  • Identify and apply for necessary wildlife and environmental permits.
  • Prepare annual agency permit reports and budget forecasts.
  • Support company safety initiatives.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resource Management, Wildlife Biology, or Environmental Sciences.
  • Minimum five years of senior level experience in regulatory matters.
  • Proficiency in avian/wildlife monitoring procedures.
  • Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations related to wildlife.
  • Data gathering, analysis, and interpretation skills.
  • Writing and public speaking skills.
  • GIS skills.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload under pressure.
