Overview

As a Senior Embedded Computing Engineer at GE Vernova, you will be pivotal in architecting, implementing, and testing edge solutions for embedded systems. You will lead significant R&D programs that align with GE Vernova's energy initiatives and collaborate with various partners including government agencies to drive innovations in embedded computing.

Key responsibilities

  • Transition edge computing and embedded systems from lab demonstrations to prototypes
  • Design, implement, and optimize real-time critical embedded systems
  • Collaborate with hardware suppliers to identify solutions for industrial applications
  • Engage with U.S. government agencies to develop proposals and lead projects
  • Collaborate with universities and commercial partners to advance embedded computing technologies
  • Publish technical papers and contribute to open-source communities

Required skills

  • Ph.D., Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fie
  • 7+ years of experience in embedded computing or related field
  • Strong FPGA/SoC design experience with Verilog and VHDL
  • Knowledge of Xilinx/Altera devices and tools
  • Experience in developing real-time embedded applications on various architectures
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB
  • Experience with Linux driver/kernel development and build systems
