Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Senior EMI Engineer in Marlborough, Massachusetts, to lead architectural designs aimed at minimizing electromagnetic emissions while enhancing resilience against external interference. This role is critical in supporting advanced missile applications and other high-performance electronics, leveraging over a century of Raytheon's engineering expertise to create secure solutions for defense and security.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop architecture for new designs to support technical execution.
  • Contribute to the development of components and subsystems meeting performance requirements.
  • Ensure products and processes meet appropriate standards as a technical conscience.
  • Advise leadership on balancing risks and constraints.
  • Act as a technical contact with customers, addressing requirements and technical commitments.
  • Participate in major review boards such as Engineering Review Board and Risk Review Board.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • EMI/EMC testing and design experience
  • DoD Secret security clearance
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464 test techniques
  • Familiarity with EMI 3D modeling tools like HFSS and CST Microwave
  • Experience with automated EMI test techniques and programming using TILE
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex technical instructions and specifications
