Overview

As a Senior Embedded Computing Engineer at GE Vernova, you will lead the development of innovative Edge solutions for embedded systems, playing a crucial role in various R&D programs aligned with the energy transition. This role involves collaboration with businesses, government agencies, and academic institutions to advance embedded computing technologies that contribute to a sustainable energy future.

Key responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and test Edge solutions for embedded systems.
  • Support the transition of edge computing and embedded systems from lab demonstrations to prototypes.
  • Design and optimize real-time critical embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with hardware suppliers for industrial and defense applications.
  • Work with U.S. government agencies on winning proposals and projects.
  • Publish technical papers and contribute to open-source communities.

Required skills

  • Ph.D. or Master's/Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields with
  • 3-7 years of FPGA/SoC design experience using Verilog and VHDL.
  • Expertise in Xilinx and/or Altera tools and devices.
  • Development experience with real-time embedded applications on various processors.
  • Embedded programming skills in C/C++/C#, Java, Python, MATLAB.
  • Linux driver and kernel development experience.
  • Understanding of heterogeneous computing and hardware acceleration.
