Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Electro-Optical Integration & Test Engineer in Tucson, Arizona. This role is essential for the development, qualification, and production of advanced electro-optical systems, requiring a blend of optics, electronics, mechanical, and software integration skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead alignment and verification of electro-optical imaging subsystems
  • Integrate detectors, optics, electronics, and firmware into hardware assemblies
  • Develop and execute test plans for development and production programs
  • Design and implement automated test processes and tools
  • Analyze test data for performance verification and troubleshooting
  • Design and maintain test fixtures and support equipment
  • Support production activities, documentation, and process improvements
  • Participate in technical reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or 3 years with advanced degree
  • Experience in electro-optical systems and hardware testing
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++ for data analysis and automation
  • Experience with imaging systems (IR, visible, or multi-spectral)
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory measurement equipment
  • Experience transitioning products from development to production
