Overview

CoolSys is seeking a Senior Electrical Foreman to join their team in Lititz, Pennsylvania. This role involves overseeing electrical system installations and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing apprentices. The company offers an engaging work environment with diverse projects across various industries.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for repairs and installations of wiring, motors, transformers, generators, lighting, and other electrical systems
  • Determine type and cost of materials required for projects
  • Ensure specifications and drawings are accurate
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes
  • Operate electrical testing equipment to locate and determine types of malfunctions
  • Study plans and specifications to ascertain work requirements
  • Repair and maintain high voltage systems
  • Train and supervise apprentices
  • Troubleshoot, test, and repair emergency generators and various electrical systems

Required skills

  • 4 - 7 years work experience as an electrician
  • License as a Journeyman or Electrician preferred
  • High School Diploma required; trade or technical school classes preferred
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials for the electrical trade
  • Familiarity with applicable electrical codes and standards
  • Knowledge of electrical applications for high and low-voltage systems
  • Skill in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical system equipment
  • Ability to work with a crew
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
