Nationwide Electrical Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team in Laurel, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive cost estimates for various projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness while coordinating with the estimating team and reviewing plans and specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates for specified and design-build proposals
  • Plan, coordinate, and analyze aspects of estimates and their presentation
  • Review and assess the accuracy of estimates prepared by others
  • Conduct site investigations to understand project conditions
  • Keep current with industry trends and developments
  • Develop quantity take-offs and construction schedules

Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience estimating electrical installations
  • Proficiency in commercial cost estimating software
  • Experience with On-Screen Takeoff and Primavera P6
  • Knowledge of construction methods and procedures
  • Ability to produce at-risk bid schedules
  • Experience with design-build projects
