Overview

McDade-Woodcock, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves estimating project costs, performing site visits, and preparing detailed scope letters for bids. Ideal candidates are highly motivated individuals looking to learn and grow in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Attend pre-bid site walk-throughs and document findings
  • Take off materials and equipment for estimates
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors
  • Write detailed scope letters outlining the scope of work, inclusions/exclusions, and contract documents
  • Upload and submit requests for proposals and qualifications
  • Report regularly to management and attend coordination meetings

Required skills

  • Cost estimation and project management
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) and local codes
  • Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
