Overview

Nationwide Electrical Services, Inc. is looking for a Senior Electrical Estimator in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for various electrical projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project plans and specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates for specified and design-build proposals
  • Coordinate, review, and lead all aspects of estimates and presentations
  • Assist in assessing the accuracy of completed estimates
  • Review estimates from other groups and resolve discrepancies
  • Conduct site investigations to inform project planning
  • Stay updated on industry trends, equipment, methods, and procedures
  • Develop quantity take-offs, construction schedules, and cost estimates

Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience in estimating electrical installations
  • Proficiency with commercial cost estimating software, On-Screen Takeoff, and Primavera P6
  • Experience with design-build projects and cost estimating methods
  • Knowledge of construction methods and procedures
  • Ability to produce detailed bid schedules and estimates
