Overview

Amarx Search, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a large defense technology company in Rochester, NY. The role involves providing electrical engineering support for military communication products, including diagnosing and solving issues related to Analog, Digital, and RF circuits, as well as collaborating with multifunctional teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor daily factory yields and investigate failures
  • Mitigate component shortages through alternative selections or redesigns
  • Determine design, process, and test improvements to enhance product quality
  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet manufacturability and testability requirements
  • Coordinate tasks and lead investigations with junior staff
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams for circuit changes during product launches
  • Troubleshoot units, modules, and boards to the component level
  • Support digital and related analog hardware designs
  • Perform detailed analysis of analog, digital, and RF circuitry

Required skills

  • BSEE or BSCE degree
  • 6+ years of relevant experience (4 years with a master's degree, 10 years without a degree)
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
  • Hardware troubleshooting for analog, RF, and digital circuits
  • Design and conduct engineering experiments
  • Use typical lab equipment: Oscilloscope, DMM, Spectrum analyzers, Logic analyzers, Signal generators
  • Analyze designs and communicate technical information
  • Design and analyze circuits with simulation tools
  • Experience leading technical teams
