Overview

As a Senior Distinguished AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be essential in creating responsible and reliable AI systems that redefine banking experiences. You will work within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team to design and deliver AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and internal processes, leveraging state-of-the-art AI technologies and machine learning algorithms.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
  • Invent and optimize LLM techniques for performance improvements
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap for AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms
  • 10+ years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms
  • Ability to lead and mentor an engineering organization
  • Experience with AI technologies such as LLM Inference and Similarity Search
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
