Job Description

Overview

Micron is seeking a Senior Diffusion Process Engineer to join their Boise team amidst a significant investment in semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves developing and optimizing processes to enhance product quality and drive yield improvements while collaborating with multi-functional teams to address manufacturing challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Start up, develop, and optimize processes to improve product quality
  • Drive process yield improvements, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement
  • Resolve manufacturing line problems and collaborate with equipment and integration engineers
  • Manage projects to complete milestones that address yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps
  • Use statistical process control (SPC) charts to drive improvements in processes

Required skills

  • 2+ years of industry experience as a Process Owner within Diffusion
  • BS or Masters in Engineering, equivalent military experience, or AAS with 5+ years of industry experience
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Proficient in Data Science and Programming skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training
