Overview

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is seeking a Senior Delivery Consultant to help design, implement, and manage AWS solutions for government and education clients. This role focuses on driving customer success through technical expertise, best practices, and close collaboration with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Required skills

  • 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
  • 5+ years of database experience (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis)
  • 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
  • 5+ years of software development with object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, .NET)
  • 3+ years of cloud-based solutions experience (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating system experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
  • 5+ years of experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale cloud solutions with expertise in microservices and
  • 3+ years of consulting experience working with enterprise customers
