Overview

The Senior Controls Engineer role at Austin Allen Company in Macon, Georgia involves working with a skilled engineering team to enhance manufacturing processes and controls within a fast-paced environment. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting controls software issues, managing product line strategies, and delivering control systems engineering work across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and improve manufacturing processes and controls
  • Troubleshoot and manage controls software issues
  • Provide programming and engineering support in troubleshooting machines
  • Manage future product line strategy from a controls standpoint
  • Coordinate work with design team members and contractors
  • Provide training to personnel on machinery and programming
  • Support cost reduction initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Controls position
  • Working knowledge of Robotics
  • Experience with Machine Design
  • PLC Programming
  • AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of auto industry standards (SORs, APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEAs, Flow Charts, TS-16949)
