Overview

As the Senior Manager of Compensation at Duluth Trading Company, you will be integral in designing and executing compensation strategies that are competitive and equitable. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to develop compensation programs that align with the company's objectives, ensuring both employee satisfaction and organizational success.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute a comprehensive compensation strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Prepare materials and analyses for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Lead planning and forecasting for annual equity award programs
  • Drive pay transparency strategy and conduct annual pay equity analyses
  • Design and maintain a competitive job architecture and salary structure
  • Model performance-based compensation programs using financial modeling tools
  • Conduct compensation program reviews, market benchmarking, and job evaluations
  • Develop communication strategies to educate employees on compensation programs
  • Lead the annual merit review process and budget planning
  • Analyze HR and compensation data for insights on trends and program costs
  • Respond to employee compensation inquiries and resolve issues promptly
  • Partner with executive leadership for strategic business counsel on compensation

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or equivalent
  • 7+ years of progressive compensation experience
  • Advanced Google Workspace proficiency, especially in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience designing compensation programs for various locations and business units
  • Data-driven analytics experience for informed compensation recommendations
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic mindset for aligning compensation initiatives with organizational goals
  • Experience preparing materials for the Board of Directors
  • Familiarity with Payfactors, UKG, or related HR technologies
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
