Overview

Aerodyne Industries is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Analyst to provide technical engineering direction for the Civil/Structural Analysis department. This role involves working on projects that support NASA's missions and ensuring compliance with applicable standards while managing tasks within schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical engineering direction for Civil/Structural Analysis department
  • Conduct design, analysis, implementation, and operational support
  • Prepare essential design/analysis documentation, including a comprehensive Design Analysis Report
  • Review and comment on engineering models and deliverables
  • Interface with NASA and client representatives during Engineering Review Boards
  • Manage task completion on-schedule and within budget
  • Support construction activities to validate compliance with engineering drawings
  • Troubleshoot equipment/system anomalies
  • Guide technicians through repairs and system operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • BS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant design/analysis experience in Civil and Structural Engineering
  • Knowledge of AISC, ASCE, ACI, AWS, ASME, SAE standards
  • Proficiency with STAAD Pro, GT STRUDL, SAP2000 software
  • Understanding of finite element analysis programs like Siemens NX Nastran or MSC Nastran
  • Ability to perform complex hand calculations
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Capability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Well organized and capable of prioritizing tasks
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
