Overview

Aerodyne Industries is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Analyst to provide technical direction and support for the Civil/Structural Analysis department. This role involves working on critical projects related to NASA's missions and managing engineering documentation, design analysis, and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical engineering direction for design, analysis, and operational support of Civil/Structural projects.
  • Prepare essential design/analysis documentation including comprehensive Design Analysis Reports.
  • Review and provide feedback on engineering models and methodologies.
  • Interface with NASA and other client representatives during Engineering Review Boards.
  • Manage tasks to completion on schedule and within budget.
  • Support construction activities and validate compliance with engineering drawings.
  • Troubleshoot equipment/system anomalies and guide technicians in repairs and operations.

Required skills

  • BS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • 10 or more years of relevant design/analysis experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AISC, ASCE, ACI, AWS, ASME, SAE standards
  • Proficiency with STAAD Pro, GT STRUDL, and/or SAP2000 software
  • Understanding of finite element analysis programs like Siemens NX Nastran or MSC Nastran
  • Ability to perform complex hand calculations
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Strong team collaboration and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
