Overview

Aerodyne Industries is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Analyst to provide technical engineering direction within the Civil/Structural Analysis department. This role will involve design, analysis, and operational support for various NASA projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical engineering direction for the Civil/Structural Analysis department
  • Perform design, analysis, and operational support for ground systems and structures
  • Prepare essential design and analysis documentation, including a Design Analysis Report
  • Review and comment on engineering models and deliverables
  • Interface with NASA customers and present at Engineering Review Boards
  • Manage task completion on-schedule and within budget
  • Support construction activities and validate compliance with engineering documents
  • Troubleshoot equipment and system anomalies

Required skills

  • BS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Minimum ten years of relevant design/analysis experience
  • Knowledge of AISC, ASCE, ACI, AWS, ASME, SAE standards
  • Proficiency with STAAD Pro, GT STRUDL, and/or SAP2000
  • Understanding of finite element analysis programs like Siemens NX Nastran or MSC Nastran
  • Ability to perform complex hand calculations
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
