General Purpose Conducts analysis through research, gathering and interpretation of data, development of alternatives and recommendations. Presents analysis and recommendations to management and may implement selected alternative. Researches, analyzes, and implements new strategies, programs, and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions. Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst include the following:Perform complex assignments lacking precedent and requiring creativity.Serve as a subject matter expert and provide training and communication of changes in policies and procedures.Provide advice or functional direction and assume a lead role in the work group.Research and analyze complex data.Report on performance and develop alternatives and recommendations for improvement to management. Lead implementation of selected alternative to various analysis projects.Promote a customer first culture and commit to delivering outstanding results for customers.Conduct analysis through research, gathering, and interpretation of data.Present analysis and recommendations to management and implement selected alternative.Maintain data impacting financial results, including reconciliation with other data sources.Validate California Independent System Operator - Extended Day Ahead Market (EDAM) generation, interties and load resources, ensuring adherence to SQMD plans. Validate meter data submissions to MRI-S for EDAMRecommend and implement procedural improvements for building monthly loads as a predecessor to CAISO resource validations.Perform daily validation, editing, and estimation (VEE) of Settlement Quality Meter Data (SQMD) for all EIM and EDAM participating resources to ensure accuracy prior to outbound submission to CAISO's MRI S system.Execute meter data completeness checks, identify anomalies, and perform root cause analysis on missing, late, or inconsistent interval data across MV90, BPA sources, JLS, and Joules.Prepare, package, and validate outbound MRI S submissions, ensuring data meets CAISO format, timing, and quality requirements to support T+9, T, and monthly settlement cycles.Compare interrogated meter data against multiple sources and validate end-of-hour data in the Energy Accounting System.Analyze energy flow, single line diagrams, and transmission network diagrams, and propose alternate sources of meter data.Generate reports for data requests to meet customer needs. Additional Responsibilities for the Business Specialist position include the following:Identify and recommend policy, management, procedural, process and system improvements to strategically balance risk and reward.Support creation, review, and updates to ELAP, EIDE, and EDAM load/resource configurations within Joules and JLS to ensure accurate representation of PacifiCorp assets in CAISO markets.Assist with parallel operations testing, including functional, vendor, system integration, and customer specific testing for EDAM market onboarding.Develop, maintain, and corroborate Settlement Quality Meter Data (SQMD) plans, including mapping of meters to resources, aggregation rules, calculation logic, and data lineage documentation.Support PacifiCorp's annual SQMD affirmation and attestation obligations to CAISO by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness of internal SQMD documentation.Identify opportunities to streamline meter data processes, automate data validation routines, and improve reliability of load/resource reporting.Coordinate with third party LSEs and Scheduling Coordinators to support meter data access, entitlement management, and data submission alignment.Provide recommendations and
