Job Description Summary Our Steam Turbine Engineering team develops and designs highly efficient turbomachines and seeks new talents to join. New joiners will enjoy a highly empowered and impactful team working across the entire product lifecycle.The Steam Turbine Bucket/Blade Aeromechanic Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing both rotating and stationary Bucket/Blade technologies enabling world-class Steam Turbine performance and efficiency. This is a critical role requiring both system level knowledge of turbomachinery safety (overspeed) and detailed mechanical component expertise to design the power producing component within the turbine. Job Description Roles and ResponsibilitiesOwn Steampath bucket/blade component design in execution of NPI, ITR, and factory/field support activities for new units and aftermarket servicesDrive technology advancements from a Shaftline System, subsystem, component and material / life vantage pointsCollaborate with global & cross-functional team of internal Steam Turbine Engineers and external stakeholders (Drafting/Global Supply Chain) enabling & fostering mutual technical growth and delivering for our customers.Follow rigorous NPI Tollgate Process from Conceptual Design thru field validation for all bucket/blade component designs across the full spectrum of Gas Power turbine configurations. Lead and review appropriate engineering analysis to ensure robust designs that meet all required CTQs.Demonstrated excellence applying fundamentals of Mechanical Design, including material properties, statics, strength of materials, fluid dynamics, lifing methods related to fatigue (LCF & HCF) and creep. Demonstrated experience with Finite Element Analysis (ANYSIS).Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent6+ years engineering experience in design turbomachinery rotating componentsProficiency in EnglishDesired CharacteristicsPrioritize everyday standard work within framework of SQDCC: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & CultureExcellent communication skills and intercultural awarenessDemonstrated passion for Quality, LEAN, and implementing continuous improvement to deliver for our customers and reducing variation though adoption of standard workExperience in Steam Turbine rotating component design, including ST rotating and stationary bucket/blade designs, design process, tools, & proceduresDemonstrated clear thinker, with ability to manage conflict and derive solutions to complicated problemsDemonstrated Project leadership skills with the mindset to handle several competing tasksFamiliarity with the full manufacturing process including: forgings, machining, and factory assembly/ testing practices, specifically as applied to power generation equipmentLegal right to work. We will not sponsor individuals for legal permits or visas.For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200 and $188,800. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
