Overview

347 Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Biologist for a part-time position in the Alviso and Fremont areas. The role involves overseeing and implementing compliance in biological, archaeological, and safety aspects on job sites, requiring a blend of field inspections and documentation tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Review project documents and evaluate compliance requirements
  • Conduct daily field inspections to ensure compliance with protection of species and habitats
  • Document and report findings, including daily inspection reports and photos
  • Provide training and updates on environmental matters to the construction team
  • Attend construction meetings as necessary
  • Coordinate planned work activity and changes with the construction team

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Anthropology, Archaeology or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education
  • Experience with construction compliance monitoring and habitat suitability evaluation
  • Knowledge of state and federal environmental laws
  • Ability to identify native and non-native plant and animal species
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Valid US Driver's license
