Job Description

Overview

347 Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Biologist to oversee and implement biological, archaeological, and safety compliance in the Santa Clara and Fremont areas. This is a long-term part-time position requiring two full days of work per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Review project documents and evaluate compliance requirements
  • Document the presence of protected bird species, nests, and buffers
  • Conduct daily field inspections to ensure compliance
  • Submit daily inspection reports and required photos to stakeholders
  • Provide daily environmental updates through training sessions
  • Coordinate with the construction team regarding planned work activities and change orders
  • Attend construction meetings as required

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Anthropology, Archaeology or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education
  • Experience in construction compliance monitoring
  • Ability to evaluate habitat suitability and identify special-status wildlife
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding species and habitat protection
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Valid US Driver's license
