Overview

As a Senior Auto Adjuster at USAA, you will manage complex auto insurance claims, ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations while delivering exceptional service to members. This role involves various investigative and negotiation tasks, targeted at providing support and resolution for highly complex auto claims.

Key responsibilities

  • Investigate coverage, liability, and physical damage for auto claims.
  • Negotiate liability and determine coverage concerns.
  • Gather information from multiple sources to analyze claims.
  • Evaluate and negotiate settlements within established authority limits.
  • Document claims processes, evaluations, and decisions clearly.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners for claims resolution.
  • Support workload surges and CAT response operations as needed.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • 1 year of experience with low to moderately complex auto claims
  • Insurance adjuster license within 90 days
  • Experience in determining auto liability coverage
  • Negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient knowledge of auto claims contracts and regulations
  • Analytical, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills
