Cookman Law PC is seeking a Senior Attorney with expertise in estate planning and special needs planning to join their growing team in Houston, Texas. This role offers an opportunity to focus on delivering high-quality legal services while being supported by a fully staffed firm dedicated to client success and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead initial estate planning and special needs planning consultations
  • Manage limited conservatorship cases including drafting, filing, and court representation
  • Draft core estate planning documents including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney
  • Handle online court appearances for limited conservatorship matters
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure smooth case progression
  • Support clients through trust administration matters

Required skills

  • Active California Bar License
  • Experience with special needs planning and limited conservatorships
  • Strong drafting, research, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage matters independently and collaborate with a remote team
  • Compassionate, client-focused mindset

What the company offers

  • $130,000 - $150,000 compensation based on experience
