Job Title: Senior Associate, Quality Engineering Job Code: 39290 Job Location: Malabar, FL Job Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Thurs 4/10 Job Description: This role is responsible for driving product and process quality by analyzing defect data, implementing data driven corrective actions, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. The position partners with engineering, suppliers, customers, and cross functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and engineering documentation. The individual in this role will help strengthen the quality management system, support audit readiness, and guide early career team members in developing strong quality engineering practices. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact on product performance, operational efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction. Essential Functions: Analyze defect data and implement data driven corrective actions Drive continued improvement of the quality system and manufacturing processes Present corrective actions and process improvements to internal and external audiences Review, interpret, and ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, engineering drawings, customer contract requirements, and product test procedures Lead containment efforts of non-conforming material Communicate directly with customers and suppliers Revise and improve manufacturing work instructions Initiate and review engineering design changes Coordinate material review board (MRB) dispositions for non-conforming product Perform internal audits of assigned programs, and support in the preparation for and execution of external audits Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance or a FAA Public Trust Clearance Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Zero Defect Plan (ZDP) Lean/Six Sigma training (preference is certified green/black belt) Understanding of IS09001/AS9100 and related QMS standards Experience using RCCA tools such as FMEA, Pareto, 5 Why, 8D, and Fishbone L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
