Overview

KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Business Tax Services practice in Stamford, Connecticut. This role involves providing tax compliance and advisory services to businesses in the real estate sector, along with leading multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with high-profile clients to navigate complex business challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to real estate businesses, including REITs, partnerships, and corporations
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver industry knowledge and experience
  • Build and manage client relationships through regular engagement
  • Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects
  • Advise clients while ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services
  • Participate in market and business activities to support practice's High Growth Sectors

Required skills

  • Minimum two years of experience in corporate taxation, REITs, consolidations, and partnerships
  • Solid knowledge of ASC 740
  • Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, or Master's in Taxation (MST)
  • Experience with partnership taxation
  • Excellent advisory and compliance skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to articulate complex information
  • Capability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams
